my drawer was a project i did back in 2004.
in 2003 Marbung, released ARTTEC a world first – wall covering with lighting elements.
this was the first time that i read about Oleds, that is Organic Leds.
the sample i saw was quite impressive and got my full attention,
so i tried to integrate this innovating feature into a furniture and in this particular case, a drawer.
the drawer is made of mdf panels with an external layer of wallpaper with luminous stripes, yep that’s the Oled’s. Copper wires are built-in the wallpaper and the transformer is hidden inside the drawer.
